Good news! The contest date has been extended until December 31, 2007. For all of you who were bummed by the lack of swell this season, don't worry. The prize money will be carried over through the end of the year 2007. With a little luck, we'll be getting some serious (hurricane season!) swell soon.

First and foremost, you must read the rules and regulations, then complete an official surfer entry form and release. This will enter you in the competition. Without these, your photo submissions will not be considered.

Once you've entered, we want to see you charge! Basically, the surfer who catches and successfully rides the single biggest wave of the winter will win The Amfibian Award. The wave must be paddled into under your own human power, and the winning wave will be judged based on analysis of the available images.

Big wave 18 and older = $1,000
Big wave under 18 = $250
Best Photo* = $250
Total purse = 1,500

Prize Money for Photographers
Big wave 18 and older = $500
Big wave under 18 = $250
Best Photo* = $250
Total purse = 1,000

*Winner in best photo category can include ANY watercraft (or none), and includes surfboards, bodyboards, bodysurfers, kayak, canoe, raft, etc.
